Thorn Guardian - a formidable forest spirit warrior with scythe blade and shield: This fantasy figure from Rescale Miniatures depicts a striking root creature in full motion. The tabletop miniature stands at a 28mm scale and is captured in a wide lunge, weight shifted forward. The upper body is twisted, the weapon arm raised - the long, curved blade weapon cuts through the momentum with a scythe-like silhouette. Held protectively in front is an organically shaped shield plate with notched lines and sharp edges, while the articulated body reaches out powerfully. The figure appears woven from entwined vines, branches, and thorns, yet retains a clear, humanoid silhouette. The skull-like visage features open jaws and horn-like protrusions. The blade branch bears barbs and spikes, and the limbs are gnarled and irregularly shaped, down to root-like feet and toes. Fibrous, hanging strips at the hips and arms resemble torn rags; numerous protrusions as well as tentacle and vine strands extend from the body, enhancing the wild, plant-like appearance.
